I’ve always been someone people talk to.

I listen, I ask questions, I’m interested, and I don’t tend to avoid the difficult bits. I can be very serious when the situation calls for it, but a conversation doesn’t always have to be serious.

I like to take the time to really understand first before we explore together what answers and solutions might be right for you.

When I’m not working, I’m usually moving.

I’m married with three grown-up children, love travelling and warm places, and have lived or worked in six different countries. Running or walking is an integral part of my daily routine.

For more than 25 years,
I worked with women.

I completed a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology. I wanted to have the time to be able to focus on the individual client and their life, rather than focussing only on the medical question. Listening, understanding and developing solutions together are now at the heart of my work.

Wonderful, enriching and often seen as privileged, but sometimes surprisingly lonely.

I see the person in front of me including their relationships, family, work, health, culture and circumstances. Counselling can help us see possibilities and ways forward that can be difficult to find on our own.

I loved the medicine and getting to know my patients. What mattered to them often went well beyond the reason they had come to see me. I just wished I had more time to listen.

Seeing the whole person

Living abroad has been a big part of my life.
